Who we are
TallyCode started as a data-solutions shop in Washington, DC, and most of our early work was data integration for public- and private-sector clients, much of it in health. Over the last several years we've moved into AI and machine learning, because that is where our clients' questions went.
We are a small team: senior architects and engineers, plus project management, quality assurance, business analysis and junior developers. You work with the people who do the work.
We don't sell a product. We look at what you have, work out what you need, and build or integrate it. If a third-party tool is the right answer, we say so. If it can be built from what you already own, we help you build it.

Ted Taliaferro
Founder and principal architect
Ted has spent more than 20 years designing and building software and data systems in regulated environments. He was tech lead on an FDA compliance-system modernization, helped build data-exchange systems at CDC used during the COVID-19 response, and has led architecture and AI tooling at a regional bank.
Today he works with leadership teams to decide where AI belongs, writes the policy and guardrails, and builds the first working solutions alongside their developers. He uses AI tools daily to build real systems and is candid about where they help and where they don't.
